This Aide Aye Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) governs the Aide Aye Applications Inc. (“Aide Aye”) web site located at https://aideaye.com ("aideaye.com"), the Aidy Excel Add-in (“Aidy”) available for download at Microsoft AppSource and all the software applications developed, hosted and offered via the Internet by Aide Aye.

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personally identifiable information made available by users.

A. The Information Aide Aye Collects and Stores

We may collect and store the following information.

Information You Provide

When you register an account, Aide Aye collects some personally identifiable information, including but not limited to: name, email address, username, password, country, and any and all other information that you share with us. We receive and store any information you give us in a secure way.

You may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information you provided by contacting us at aidy@aideaye.com.

Cookies

Cookies are necessary to use aideaye.com and Aidy.

A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier in the form of a text file that is inserted and stored by your Web browser on your computer’s hard drive.

aideaye.com and Aidy uses session cookies to enable sessions. Every time you log in we send to your browser a cookie with a special identifier that your browser sends back to us with subsequent requests so that you do not need to provide your login and password with each request.

aideaye.com and Aidy use cookies to keep the state for the selections that you make in the aideaye.com and Aidy interface. For example, selection of items in a listing, etc.

In addition, Aide Aye uses cookies to understand how you use our service and to improve your experience.

If you do not enable your browser to accept Aide Aye cookies, you may not be able to use aideaye.com or Aidy.

Log Data

aideaye.com and Aidy contain functions for collecting and tracking non-personally identifiable information about you including your IP address, domain name, pages that were viewed, where you were referred from, and technical information such as locale preferences, browser type and operating system from Your Equipment as defined in the Aide Aye Terms of Use.

Payment Data

We never have access to your full debit / credit card number or CVC and therefore cannot store it. Our debit / credit card processing is handed off to Stripe, Inc (“Stripe”). Stripe has been certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification available.

Aide Aye only stores the debit / credit card type, the last 4 digits and the cardholder’s name. Stripe saves your full payment information for your future purchases with Aide Aye.

Datasets, Transformations, Models, Evaluations and Predictions

We collect and store the datasets that you upload to Aidy (“Data”). If you upload a new dataset that has been previously uploaded by you, we never associate all or a portion of the previous dataset with your newly uploaded dataset and always store a duplicate. We assign a unique identifier to every dataset that you upload.

When you copy a dataset from a previously uploaded dataset, we duplicate the whole dataset and assign a unique identifier to every dataset that you copy.

When you transform a dataset, a new dataset will be created and we assign a unique identifier to the newly created dataset resulting from your transformation.

You can always export and download your datasets in your user account.

When you create a model from a dataset in your account, we use the summarized version and the serialized version to create a model. Models can be seen as sophisticated statistical summaries with predictive power. We store each model that you create so that you can use them to create predictions. We assign a unique identifier to every new model that you create.

When you create an evaluation for a previously created model, we use the corresponding model and your selected dataset in your account to create the evaluation. We store the resulting evaluation data and the evaluation details. We assign a unique identifier to every new evaluation that you create.

When you create a prediction from a previously created model, we use the corresponding model and your selected dataset in your account to create the prediction. We store the resulting prediction data and the prediction details. We assign a unique identifier to every new prediction that you create.

At your own discretion, you can delete the datasets, transformations, models, evaluations and predictions that you create. Upon your request we immediately delete them from our front-end servers and start a batch process to fully remove them from our systems.

Meta Data, Blind Data, Non-private or Non-Personal Information

Aide Aye will get access and use meta level data generated during the creation of your datasets, transformations, models, evaluations and predictions ("Blind Meta Data"). These Blind Meta Data are collected with the only purpose of improving our service over time. For example, we measure how much time each tasks take, the size of data that you use, the type of each attribute in your dataset, the performance of the models generated but we never inspect or access any detail of your datasets, models, or predictions.

Aide Aye does not backup customer uploaded data. Data that is uploaded by customers is stored securely in the cloud storage where Aide Aye is running. The cloud storage is extremely resistant to failure and accidental loss. All data are stored with random assigned UUID style names and are not sorted or tagged in a way that makes the owner or content discernible.

Aide Aye does backup some Meta-data which maps actual owner/content/permissions to each individual file that is stored. These backups are performed about once a day and are primarily for disaster recovery of our services to customers.

When a customer deletes data from Aide Aye, it is removed promptly and permanently and does not persist in backup media. The Meta-data may persist in backups for the duration of our retention policy, currently about seven days.

Data Retention

Your data are yours. You can remove it anytime you want.

We will retain your personal information and your Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.

When you request us to delete your Aide Aye Account, your data will be permanently expunged from our primary production servers and further access to your account will not be possible. We will also promptly delete your email address from our third party newsletter provider and any payment information from our servers and our payment processor provider.

Please note, however, that there might be latency in deleting information from our servers and backed-up versions might still exist immediately after deletion. After a reasonable period of time your Data will be permanently deleted from all our backup servers.

Portions of your data, consisting of aggregate or anonymous data derived from your usage, may remain on our production servers indefinitely.

If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, you may contact us at aidy@aideaye.com. We may retain and use your personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Consistent with these requirements, we will delete your information quickly upon request.

Service Providers, Business Partners and Others

Aide Aye uses four trusted third party companies to help us provide you with a better service.

Aide Aye uses Google, Inc as a hosting partner to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run Aidy. All the Information you provide, Data, and Log Data are stored by Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You can find more information about GCP's security at the GCP website https://cloud.google.com/security/.

Aide Aye also uses Google, Inc to collect our website analytics. Every time that you access aideaye.com and Aidy, we use Google Analytics to collect and store technical and navigational information, such as computer browser type, Internet protocol address, pages visited, and average time spent on aideaye.com and Aidy.

Aide Aye uses Microsoft Corporation to process our own email. Every time that you send us an email or we communicate directly with you your email address is stored and processed by Microsoft.

Aide Aye hands off debit and credit card processing to Stripe, Inc. Stripe has been certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification available. You can find more information about Stripe’s security at the Stripe’ website https://stripe.com/docs/security.

Aide Aye uses SiteGround Hosting Ltd. (SiteGround) to host aideaye.com. SiteGround collects access logs to our website.

These third parties may have access to your information only for purposes of performing the tasks mentioned above on our behalf and under obligations similar to those in this Privacy Policy.

B. Use and Disclosure of the Information Aide Aye Collects

Aide Aye will use and disclose the Information it collects only as follows:

Personal Information that You Provide

Aide Aye does not and will not sell or rent your personal Information that you Provide to anyone, for any reason, at any time.

Aide Aye will use the Personal Information that You Provide:

to deliver to you any administrative notices, alerts and communications relevant to your use of aideaye.com and Aidy;

to communicate with you concerning your account for an informational, as opposed to promotional, purpose.

to display your Personal Information in your account page and elsewhere on aideaye.com and Aidy;

to promote use, including continued use, of aideaye.com and Aidy. You have the ability to opt-out of receiving our promotional emails and to terminate newsletter subscriptions by following the instructions in the emails. Opting out in this manner will not end transmission of service-related emails, such as usage alerts.

Log Data

The log data that we collect is used to improve the performance, quality and user experience of aideaye.com and Aidy, and is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes.

Part of Aide Aye’s log data are collected by Google Analytics to understand usage behavior in aggregated form so as to inform further product design improvements.

Data

Aide Aye will in no way access your Data or any result coming out of processing that Data (datasets, models, and predictions) unless that you request so.

Payment Data

We keep your payment information (card type, last 4 digits and cardholder’s name of your debit / credit card) confidential and only use it in connection with Aidy. We do not disclose or distribute any data to a third party or use any such data for marketing purposes.

Once you decide to delete a payment method or delete your account we request Stripe to delete all your information and Aide Aye also deletes it out of our systems.

Blind Data, Meta Data, Non-private or Non-Personal Information

Aide Aye uses data capture and analysis tools to extract, compile, synthesize, and analyze any non-personally, identifiable data or information resulting from the User’s use of Aidy (“Blind Meta Data”). As a matter of fact, Aide Aye uses Aidy to create models and predict the behavior of our system and customers. To the extent that any Blind Meta Data are collected by Aide Aye, that Blind Meta Data will be solely owned by Aide Aye and may be used by Aide Aye for any lawful business purpose without a duty of accounting to you. The Blind Meta Data are used only in an aggregated form without specifically identifying the source of the Blind Meta Data.

We may disclose your non-private, aggregated, or otherwise non-personal information, such as usage statistics of Aidy.

C. Business Transfer

If Aide Aye is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information, Log Data, and Data may be transferred as part of that transaction. In this event, Aide Aye will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

D. Law and Law Enforcement Compliance

Aide Aye will cooperate with government and law enforcement officials or private parties to enforce and comply with the law. This includes the disclosure, without notice, of any information Aide Aye has collected about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as Aide Aye, at its sole discretion, believes necessary or appropriate to respond to claims, legal process (including subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of Aide Aye Applications Inc. or a third party, the safety of the public or any person, to prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity, or to comply with the law.

E. Security

We guard your privacy to the best of our ability and work hard to protect your information from unauthorized access.

You also need to follow some security practices:

You must keep your username, password, and license key secure and not disclose it to any third party.

Due to the sensitive nature of your Data, we do not re-send forgotten passwords or license keys. Users must follow online instructions to reset their passwords or recover license keys if they forget or lose them.

Account passwords are encrypted. Aide Aye personnel cannot see your passwords. We can only reset them.

To make sure your personal information is secure, we communicate our privacy and security guidelines to Aide Aye employees and strictly enforce privacy safeguards within the company.

The personal data that you sent to register, the debit / credit card information that you might use to upgrade your Aidy subscription, or the data that you input, post, transmit, stream, or upload to aideaye.com and Aidy is encrypted and sent over a secure channel using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), the standard for secure Internet network connections.

Aide Aye employees are prohibited from viewing the content of datasets, models and predictions that you store in your Aide Aye Account unless that you request us to do so.

We have a strict policy and technical access controls that prohibit employee access except for the reasons stated in our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Even if Aide Aye is very concerned and sensitive to the confidentiality of your information and uses the best security measures to both protect aideaye.com and Aidy and keep your information as safe as possible, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while Aide Aye strives to protect your personal information, Aide Aye cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Should a breach of security occur, Aide Aye will make any legally required disclosures of the breach as soon as possible, while still taking into account any legitimate needs of law enforcement or measures necessary to restore the security and integrity of our system. Any notification of breach will occur in a private email correspondence with affected members.

F. A Note to Non-Canadian and Non-U.S. Users

The Service is hosted in Canada and the United States. If you are accessing the Service from a jurisdiction with privacy laws or regulations that differ from Canada or United States laws, please be advised that through your continued use of the Service, you are transferring your personal information to Canada or the United States and you consent to that transfer.

G. A Note About the Privacy of Children Under 13

The Service is not directed to or otherwise promoted for use by children under the age of thirteen (13). Aide Aye does not knowingly collect or use any personal information of users of aideaye.com and Aidy who are under the age of thirteen (13). If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13 we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us at aidy@aideaye.com.

FINAL REMARKS

Aide Aye may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the email address specified in your Aide Aye Account or by placing a prominent notice on our site. Such notice will be given at least 3 days in advance of the date the new policy will be applied.
